IEEE UTSA will be hosting it’s forth general meeting for the Fall 2011 semester on November 11th.
Date: Wednesday, November 16, 2011
Time: 4:00pm – 5:00pm
Place: Engineering Building, Room EB 2.04.06
IEEE @ UTSA recommends that everyone should attend this meeting for further knowledge of the importance is in joining IEEE.
Refreshments will be available at the meeting. (free pizza and drinks!)
Officer Elections:
IEEE UTSA will be having our Office Elections!
If you are interested in running for an office, please stop by the parts bin to fill out an election sheet.

Candidates must prepare a 1-2 minute speech about why they should be elected for that position. Then the people who are attending the meeting will do a majority vote to see who will get those positions.
Due to current officers graduating this December there will be two positions opening for the Spring 2012 Semester. (Elections will be done again [all positions] at the end of the Spring Semester for the next full 1yr term)
Positions Available:
Treasurer:
Manages finances within IEEE (creates budget and documentation, manages bank accounts, etc.)
Time Requirement: 5 hours per week
Selection-Requirement: Must have been selected by currently elected officers.
Webmaster:
Updates and maintains the website/forums/wiki with upcoming events and information
Time Requirement: 3 hours per week
IEEE URGES that everyone attend to vote for the officers. The majority counts, and if the majority isn’t there, then the results will be obscured.
Guest Speaker: Scott Weidner
Scott Weidner will be speaking about Southwest Research Institute and the Space Science Division.
